"If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequeces of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of it's powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the state."

  1. Good article. I have one foot on the fire Pelphrey band wagon, but if he loses to Mississippi st. and LSU them I'm gonna be on top of the wagon jumping up and down screaming.

  2. I have a question for all those who desire to see pelphry gone and another coach, like Mike Anderson, brough in. What if this happens and Anderson or a new coach comes in and say struggle the first two or three years? Will you be asking for his head too?

  3. Anderson want struggle, look at his track record. he is not your average coach. He does not need top level talent to win on a consistent basis.

Frank Broyles put this program in the shape its in. The media want say it but i will. People he fired the coach that won the only national championship this program has ever had in basketball, how many coaches do you know that where fired from a program that was as successful as he was here. He had us on the level of duke, north carolina, kansas, arizona and so on. What a idoit.

  5. hey tim i agree with you. here is something i would bring up to mattingly in the stupid interview he did with belfry. belfry said there was great improvement in clarke and powell. that is utter bullshit if you look at the stats from their previous years they have actually gotten worse. just goes to show if you repeat a lie often enough. where are all the recruits he brought in over the last 4 years? not much of a track record to give him the number 5 recruiting class next year. we are doomed.
